Real life face cast, gauze, papier mâché, plaster, resin
54x45x45 cm
Frenetic Stasis is an oxymoronic work, the result of the paradoxical nightmare in which we were catapulted.
We found ourselves immobilized in the body, suspended in a freeze of indefinite duration, alienated by ourselves.
As if our emotions, as well as our body, our projects and our desires, can be frozen in an indefinite pause.
The work shows the unstoppable dynamism of an alienated stasis.
The impossible freezing of our emotions, our feelings, our inner life.
The vortex of emotions rises and descends, runs in one direction and retracts from the other,
ending in the total fixity of a seat.
Real life face cast, gauze, papier-mâché, plaster
Real-life face casts of many people are connected through a textile light material.
Inside this human shell, there is a prismatic light with quartz crystals.
It has the feature to change colors and intensity automatically. It mirrors the infinite possibility of each mind
to produce light and colors, if united with others.
